Big Lottery LogoUPDATE: BIG Lottery Reaching Communities Programme (England)

The BIG Lottery Fund has announced that in response to the current economic crisis it is increasing the budget for its Reaching Communities programme in 2009-10 by £20million to £80million and has relaxed its eligibility criteria.

Reaching Communities provides grants of between £10,000 and £500,000 to support projects that help people and communities who are most in need, and can really make a difference. Family Learning - now able to support projects that provide family learning activities (and continues to consider projects that offer general family support such as parenting skills)

Well-Being - continues to consider health, well–being or physical activity projects

Young People - will now consider projects that have young people as their primary beneficiaries
